Gilbert Zamora
is a Certified Public Accountant. Gilbert’s practice is currently limited to handling difficult Texas tax problems and controversies.  He supports the tax litigation attorneys with Martens, Seay & Todd in their Texas tax controversies and Texas tax litigation.  He represents clients seeking the benefits of making voluntary disclosure of existing Texas tax problems.  He handles complex Texas state tax issues for most all Texas state taxes, including Texas franchise tax, Texas sales and use tax, Texas motor fuels tax, Texas motor vehicle sales tax, and Texas mixed beverage tax.
 Martens, Seay & Todd limits its practice to solely matters involving Texas tax controversy and litigation and federal tax controversy and litigation.
 

Mr. Zamora worked for 20 years as a tax policy specialist in the Comptroller’s hearings division and in the franchise and sales tax policy sections of the Comptroller’s Tax Policy Division.  Prior to those positions, he worked for 11 years as a senior tax auditor for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

 

Mr. Zamora graduated in 1973 from Trinity University with a BS in Business Administration.  He is currently active in several organizations of tax professionals.  Mr.  Zamora is the Chairman for the 2008 TSCPA State Taxation Conference Committee and also served as the Co-chair for the 2007 TSCPA State Taxation Conference Comittee.
